Birthing from Within Childbirth Classes
Using Birthing from Within as our guide, this class is designed as a final, grounding step as you prepare to cross the threshold into birth and parenthood. Beyond information alone, you'll uncover your resilience as an expecting parent through creativity, reflection, and the knowing you already carry, and learn how to integrate everything you've gathered from books, classes, and social media into your own personal map for navigating labor and postpartum.

Frequently Asked Questions

A doula is a birth companion, who had learned how to support birth and postpartum either through experience or formal training. Doulas provide non-medical emotional, informational, and practical support during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum.
Learn more about doulas here.
-
Doulas typically work 1:1 with clients to prepare for birth. The community doula care model takes the format of individual prenatal sessions and brings it into a group setting.

Expecting parents, partners, and anyone who is supporting someone through the childbearing year.

Yes! You are welcome to observe classes, attend doula office hours and bring your questions about this work, enrolling in Medicaid, aligning your business with your capabilities and dreams, and more.
Beyond birth work, I have a background in business administration, legal work (but can not provide legal advice), and many other endeavors. I would love to support you on your journey in birth work.

These offerings are for prenatal support. Once we connect I will always remain a resource for you to call or text, but community doula care does not provide on-call in person support for birth or postpartum.
You are welcome to ask about my availability or for recommendations for local doulas offering in-person support.

Yes! Children are part of our community. If you feel that you can participate fully with your child in attendance, then please bring them along. It’s also okay if you decide that you want to take this time for yourself and leave your kids at home. You know your situation best. Children do not need to register.
If childcare is a barrier, reach out. I will do my best to have extra hands on deck to lead activities. I always have coloring pages and art supplies available for busy little hands.
